As NFL teams tinker with rosters ahead of spring minicamps, the league released the full schedule for all 32 clubs on Wednesday.

Though we already knew the opponents for each team, fans can now start to plan trips and mark their calendars for the most anticipated matchups.

As you review the 18-week slate, take a look at our early win-loss predictions for each team ahead of the 2024 season. These projections are mostly based on how teams approached the offseason, specifically free agency and the 2024 draft.

We'll also factor in how clubs match up against familiar rivals and opponents in other divisions. For example, the NFC East will play the NFC South and AFC North in addition to in-division rivals this year.

Arizona Cardinals

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (2)

Cardinals QB Kyler MurrayKyle Ross/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

    2023 Record: 4-13

The Arizona Cardinals had a slow start to the 2023 season with quarterback Kyler Murray sidelined for the first nine games to recover from a torn ACL. Now that Murray is healthy for a full offseason, he'll bounce back with a new star wide receiver.

Murray will likely build an immediate rapport with No. 4 overall pick Marvin Harrison Jr., who's a viable candidate to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Coming out of Ohio State, Harrison is one of the most polished collegiate prospects to enter the league. Arizona's NFC West rivals will find it difficult to slow him down.

If the opposition uses an extra defender to cover Harrison, the Cardinals can lean on rookie running back Trey Benson, who brings 4.39-second speed to the ground game.

With two rookie offensive skill-position players who can contribute in big roles, Arizona will be able to keep pace with opponents in high-scoring games.

The Cardinals also revamped their defensive line with the addition of rookie first-rounder Darius Robinson and veterans Bilal Nichols and Justin Jones, but they could struggle to generate a consistent pass rush on the edges.

The Cardinals will take small steps in the right direction with a much-improved offense, but their defense is still a work in progress.

    2024 Prediction: 6-11

Atlanta Falcons

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (3)

Falcons WR Drake London (left) and TE Kyle Pitts (right)Rich von Biberstein/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

    2023 Record: 7-10

Like the last few years, the NFC South may be one of the league's weakest divisions. A nine-win team could finish in the top spot for consecutive seasons.

With the No. 8 pick in the 2024 draft, the Atlanta Falcons could have selected a top defensive playmaker to bolster their 18th-ranked scoring defense from last season. Instead, they spent it on quarterback Michael Penix Jr. after signing Kirk Cousins to a four-year, $180 million contract in free agency.

Assuming Cousins fully recovers from his torn Achilles in time to play Week 1, he's capable of leading the Falcons to victories in high-scoring matchups. He'll provide an immediate boost to the passing attack with Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Rondale Moore and Kyle Pitts on the receiving end of his pinpoint passes.

The Falcons haven't re-signed Calais Campbell and let Bud Dupree walk in free agency. Those two led the team with 6.5 sacks apiece last season. However, if rookie second-rounder Ruke Orhorhoro and third-rounder Bralen Trice make their presence felt in the front seven, the Falcons defense should be good enough to get stops in crucial moments. Orhorhoro recorded five sacks last season at Clemson, while Trice logged seven sacks in his final season at Washington.

The Falcons' upgrade at quarterback should give them a good shot to win the division. They'll edge the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints for their first NFC South title since 2016.

    2024 Prediction: 9-8

Baltimore Ravens

3 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (4)

Ravens QB Lamar JacksonRob Carr/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 13-4

This offseason, the Baltimore Ravens lost defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald (who's now the Seattle Seahawks head coach), right tackle Morgan Moses via a trade to the New York Jets, and edge-rusher Jadeveon Clowney in free agency.

To replace Macdonald, Baltimore promoted inside linebackers coach Zach Orr, who's been working with its defense for six of the last seven years. The Ravens then reloaded at key positions of need through the draft.

Bleacher Repeort's NFL scouting department gave the Ravens a B-plus for their 2024 draft haul, which includes first-round cornerback Nate Wiggins, second-round offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten and third-round edge-rusher Adisa Isaac. Baltimore also snagged a steal in fourth-round cornerback T.J. Tampa, who received a second-round grade from B/R scout Cory Giddings.

In his first year as the Ravens' offensive coordinator last season, Todd Monken fielded a top-six offense in total yards and scoring, and Lamar Jackson won his second league MVP. Even in a tough division with a change in its defensive play-calling, Baltimore will finish the 2024 campaign with double-digit wins.

    2024 Prediction: 11-6

Buffalo Bills

4 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (5)

Bills QB Josh AllenPerry Knotts/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 11-6

The Buffalo Bills took a big risk this offseason when they let Gabe Davis walk in free agency and traded star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans.

Before Buffalo acquired Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings in 2020, quarterback Josh Allen completed less than 57 percent of his passes and threw for only 5,163 yards, 30 touchdowns and 21 interceptions across the 2018 and 2019 seasons. With Diggs, Allen performed at a Pro Bowl level, racking up at least 4,283 passing yards and 29 touchdown passes in all four of their seasons together.

Buffalo used a second-round pick on Florida State wideout Keon Coleman to fill the void in their pass-catching group. But in his first year, he may not be able to elevate the passing attack like Diggs did when he arrived in Buffalo.

Wide receiver Khalil Shakur and tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox will likely see more targets from Allen. However, the Bills' aerial attack could experience some rough patches during a transition period.

Meanwhile, edge-rusher Von Miller is going into his age-35 campaign fresh off a year without a sack, and linebacker Matt Milano is recovering from a torn ACL and a fractured leg. As a result, Buffalo's defense may not be as stingy compared to previous years.

The Bills could fall out of the playoff picture in the AFC as Allen adjusts to the offense without Diggs and the defense relies on role players to be more productive in bigger roles.

    2024 Prediction: 9-8

Carolina Panthers

5 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (6)

Panthers QB Bryce YoungDavid Rosenblum/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

    2023 Record: 2-15

The Carolina Panthers will head into the 2024 season with their third full-time head coach in three years.

New Panthers head coach Dave Canales helped quarterback Baker Mayfield get his first Pro Bowl nod in 2023, which is a good sign for second-year signal-caller Bryce Young. The 2023 No. 1 overall pick should also be excited about the addition of wideouts Diontae Johnson and first-round rookie Xavier Legette.

With that said, Canales will look to establish a balanced attack with the run game. The Panthers can execute his plan with the addition of guard Robert Hunt and rookie second-round running back Jonathon Brooks.

Brooks is recovering from a torn ACL, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that he should be cleared for action by July 1. Still, the Panthers may limit Brooks' workload to help him avoid potential lingering issues with his knee.

In the meantime, Chuba Hubbard and Miles Sanders could lead the Panthers' run game. However, both ball-carriers averaged less than 3.9 yards per carry last season.

Defensively, the Panthers have too many unknowns in the secondary for anyone to confidently say they can stifle their opponents' offensive attacks. Carolina has new potential starters at cornerback (Dane Jackson) and safety (Jordan Fuller) with oft-injured cornerback Jaycee Horn in the mix for a prominent role.

The Panthers will once again finish at the bottom of the standings this season. At least they have their first-round pick for the 2025 draft this time.

    2024 Prediction: 3-14

Chicago Bears

6 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (7)

Bears WR Rome Odunze (left) and QB Caleb Williams (right)Michael Reaves/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 7-10

The Chicago Bears may be the biggest surprise of the 2024 campaign if their key offensive additions jell early in the regular season.

The Bears acquired six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen in a trade with the Los Angeles Chargers and signed running back D'Andre Swift, tight end Gerald Everett and centers Coleman Shelton and Ryan Bates in free agency. Then, they selected quarterback Caleb Williams and wideout Rome Odunze with their first-round picks.

Chicago has put together a strong supporting cast for Williams, and he should be able to rack up impressive passing numbers in his rookie campaign. Wideout DJ Moore and tight end Cole Kmet posted career highs in multiple receiving categories last year despite quarterbacks Justin Fields and Tyson Bagent struggling through stretches of the season.

As a high-end draft prospect, Williams could be the maestro of a top-10 scoring offense. He'll play with a complementary defense that allowed 20 points or fewer in its last six outings.

For the first time since 2018, the Bears will finish with double-digit wins, and Williams will win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

    2024 Prediction: 10-7

Cincinnati Bengals

7 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (8)

Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (left) and QB Joe Burrow (right)Dylan Buell/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 9-8

The Cincinnati Bengals' playoff chances will hinge upon quarterback Joe Burrow's availability.

Last year, Burrow missed seven games because of a wrist injury, and the Bengals barely missed the playoffs with a 9-8 record. Backup quarterback Jake Browning kept Cincinnati in the playoff race, but he isn't on Burrow's level when it's time to lead his team to crucial victories late in the season.

Burrow's return should propel the Bengals back into a race with the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North title if he stays healthy.

Franchise-tagged wideout Tee Higgins expects to play out the season in Cincinnati. Although the Bengals traded running back Joe Mixon to the Houston Texans, tailback Zack Moss should be able to fill a void on the ground in a Burrow-led offense.

Despite edge-rusher Trey Hendrickson's trade request, Cincinnati has "zero interest" in moving him, per The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr. If the Bengals retain the three-time Pro Bowl pass-rusher, the defense should be able to do enough to take pressure off the offense in a double-digit win season.

    2024 Prediction: 11-6

Cleveland Browns

8 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (9)

Browns WR Amari CooperRyan Kang/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 11-6

The Cleveland Browns should have concerns about starting quarterback Deshaun Watson, who has yet to rediscover his Pro Bowl form since they acquired him from the Houston Texans.

In 12 games across the past two seasons, Watson has thrown for 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing 59.8 percent of his passes. On top of that, he missed 11 games because of a shoulder injury last season.

With Watson under center, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has operated a run-heavy offense featuring star tailback Nick Chubb, who tore his ACL in Week 2 last year. Stefanski didn't dial up an aggressive passing attack until Joe Flacco filled in for Watson late last season and led the Browns to the playoffs.

The Browns' stingy defense will keep them in most games, but one has to wonder why Watson hasn't been able to sling the ball around (when healthy) like Flacco did fresh off his couch last year.

Cleveland acquired wideout Jerry Jeudy from the Denver Broncos and signed him to a new deal, but Stefanski isn't getting the most out of Watson. So, the Browns may be not be using their money wisely.

Cleveland has an 8-4 record when Watson starts. But with Chubb still on the mend, one has to wonder if Watson can do enough to lead the Browns back to the postseason.

    2024 Prediction: 8-9

Dallas Cowboys

9 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (10)

Cowboys QB Dak PrescottRichard Rodriguez/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 12-5

The Dallas Cowboys haven't shown the offseason urgency to improve their roster that you would expect from a team coming off an embarrassing playoff loss in the Wild Card Round.

The Cowboys lost multiple starters and key rotational players to the Washington Commanders, who hired former Dallas defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as their head coach. They also lost running back Tony Pollard and left tackle Tyron Smith in free agency.

Though the Cowboys filled needs along their offensive line and within the front seven with their early draft picks, they went conservative in the first waves of free agency, which means a few rookies and role players may have to take on big roles.

Even more puzzling, the Cowboys signed Ezekiel Elliott to address their need at running back. While both sides might welcome that reunion, Elliott's average yards per carry declined every year since 2021. Last season, he logged a career-low 3.5 yards per carry.

Head coach Mike McCarthy said last year that he wants to "run the damn ball." However, the Cowboys may not be able to do that efficiently with Elliott on the decline and an underwhelming platoon of ball-carriers alongside him.

Without a solid run game, quarterback Dak Prescott could feel the pressure to carry the offense in a contract year. That could lead to more interceptions, which plagued him in 2022.

    2024 Prediction: 8-9

Denver Broncos

10 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (11)

Broncos QB Bo NixHyoung Chang/The Denver Post

    2023 Record: 8-9

The Denver Broncos traded wideout Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns and cut safety Justin Simmons this offseason. They also allowed center Lloyd Cushenberry III to walk in free agency, which suggests they're heading into a rebuilding phase in head coach Sean Payton's second year with the team.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, wideout Courtland Sutton has skipped voluntary workouts as he seeks a new deal. With the key departures and a big question mark at wide receiver, the Broncos look like a team headed in the wrong direction.

Denver acquired John Franklin-Myers to fortify its front seven, but the defense needs someone to emerge on the edge to inject life into the pass rush.

Rookie first-rounder Bo Nix and sixth-year journeyman Jarrett Stidham will likely battle for the starting quarterback position. But if the Broncos trade Sutton, whomever takes over the offense may struggle to move the ball through the air.

Nix may have a better chance to post solid numbers with rookie wideout Troy Franklin, his Oregon teammate, on the roster. Nonetheless, the Broncos could take a big step back before they see significant improvement on either side of the ball.

    2024 Prediction: 5-12

Detroit Lions

11 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (12)

Lions QB Jared GoffEzra Shaw/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 12-5

The Detroit Lions have steadily climbed the NFL hierarchy under head coach Dan Campbell. After an appearance in the NFC Championship Game this past season, they're no longer an underrated team.

There's reason to believe that the Lions can match or even top their 12-5 record from the last season, though.

The Lions have continuity on offense with play-caller Ben Johnson passing up head-coaching jobs to stay in Detroit for a third year. They lost wide receiver Josh Reynolds in free agency, but his departure could open up more opportunities for 2022 first-round pick Jameson Williams.

Detroit lost guards Halapoulivaati Vaitai and Jonah Jackson in free agency, but it signed Kevin Zeitler.

Most importantly, the Lions addressed their biggest defensive weakness by adding multiple cornerbacks. Detroit signed Amik Robertson, acquired Carlton Davis from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and selected Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw Jr. with its first two draft picks.

Over the past two seasons, the Lions offense has led their surge in the standings. This season, their defensive additions could take them to another level.

    2024 Prediction: 13-4

Green Bay Packers

12 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (13)

Packers QB Jordan LoveRyan Kang/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 9-8

In his first year as a full-time starter, Jordan Love established himself as the Green Bay Packers' franchise quarterback.

In 17 starts, Love threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions with a 64.2 percent completion rate. He posted those numbers with one of his top wide receivers, Christian Watson, missing eight games.

After a strong showing in 2023, Love will likely continue to develop into a high-end starter.

The Packers drafted Jordan Morgan in the first round to solidify their offensive line, and they added veteran running back Josh Jacobs and rookie third-round tailback MarShawn Lloyd to balance the offense.

If the Packers defense, which is loaded with recent first-round picks, plays up its full potential under new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, this team should win 10 or more games.

    2024 Prediction: 10-7

Houston Texans

13 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (14)

Texans QB C.J. StroudLogan Riely/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 10-7

As the reigning AFC South champions, the Houston Texans tasted unexpected success last season. They didn't get complacent, though. They put their foot on the gas pedal with win-now offseason moves.

General manager Nick Caserio had a playoff-caliber roster and added multiple starters, including three players with recent Pro Bowl campaigns.

The Texans signed four-time Pro Bowl edge-rusher Danielle Hunter and linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, who's coming off his most productive year. They also acquired wideout Stefon Diggs and running back Joe Mixon in separate trades.

Houston also drafted third-round offensive tackle Blake Fisher to add another layer of pass protection around 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud.

The Texans will show that they're the real deal this season and finish as the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

    2024 Prediction: 12-5

Indianapolis Colts

14 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (15)

Colts RB Jonathan TaylorCooper Neill/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 9-8

In 2023, the Indianapolis Colts nearly made the playoffs with backup quarterback Gardner Minshew and the NFL's 28th-ranked scoring defense. Star running back Jonathan Taylor also missed seven games because of injuries.

The Colts are a well-coached team under Shane Steichen and his staff. They'll pose the biggest threat to the Houston Texans in the AFC South if second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson makes a leap coming off October shoulder surgery.

If Richardson struggles or misses time because of injury, the Colts could turn to backup quarterback Joe Flacco, who helped lead the Cleveland Browns to the playoffs last year.

Despite losing Minshew in free agency, Indianapolis has a good veteran insurance policy at quarterback. With rookie second-round wide receiver Adonai Mitchell equipped to make big plays with his 4.34-second 40-yard-dash speed, Steichen should have another top-10 scoring offense.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard laughed when edge-rusher Laiatu Latu fell to him at the No. 15 overall pick.

"We got the best f--king rusher in the draft," Ballard chuckled.

The Colts need Latu to play up to Balldard's expectations, because they must tie up loose ends on defense to make a push for a playoff spot.

Indianapolis will once again straddle the playoff cutoff line in a conference of heavyweights.

    2024 Prediction: 9-8

Jacksonville Jaguars

15 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (16)

Jaguars QB Trevor LawrenceJustin Ford/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 9-8

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence hasn't quite played up to expectations as the No. 1 overall pick from the 2021 draft.

On one hand, Lawrence has a 2022 Pro Bowl season and a thrilling comeback playoff victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on his resume. On the flip side, Lawrence didn't build on his momentum from the 2022 campaign, and he struggled mightily with turnovers last year.

In 2023, Lawrence threw 14 interceptions and lost seven fumbles. He's fumbled 12 times in back-to-back seasons.

Lawrence's underwhelming performances from last season makes it hard to project the Jaguars to have a winning record in 2024. He may not be able to get the best out of his new wide receivers, Gabe Davis and rookie first-rounder Brian Thomas Jr. Perhaps Jacksonville will operate a more balanced attack by featuring running back Travis Etienne.

Jacksonville hired defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen to replace Mike Caldwell, which may be a moderate upgrade, and free-agent addition Arik Armstead will bolster the defense. However, the club's secondary has question marks behind cornerback Tyson Campbell and safety Andre Cisco on the depth chart.

The Jaguars may not fully recover from last season's collapse. Lawrence has to lead the way, but his underwhelming development raises some concerns.

    2024 Prediction: 7-10

Kansas City Chiefs

16 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (17)

Chiefs QB Patrick MahomesLuke Hales/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 11-6

Last year, the Kansas City Chiefs proved they could go on the road en route to a Super Bowl victory. They may not feel as much urgency to claim home-field advantage if their key players need lighter workloads or off weeks late in the season.

With that in mind, they're prone to upsets. However, the Chiefs will likely remain atop the AFC West with the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos going through significant roster and coaching staff changes this offseason.

Kansas City has the league's best quarterback in Patrick Mahomes paired with future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce, who's still playing at a high level. They'll continue to pose a threat to defenses, though Mahomes now has a few speedy receivers who are capable of adding another dimension to the Chiefs' aerial attack.

Kansas City signed Marquise Brown in free agency and traded up in the first round for Xavier Worthy, who clocked the fastest 40-yard dash time in NFL Scouting Combine history.

Brown has five years of starting experience, including a 1,008-yard season on his resume. He could soak up a high volume of targets if the NFL suspends fellow wideout Rashee Rice for his involvement in a car accident in Dallas. According to Rachel Snyder, Rebecca Lopez and Joe Trahan of WFAA in Dallas, law enforcement is also investigating a nightclub assault allegation against Rice.

When we last saw Chiefs head coach Andy Reid work with a wide receiver with elite speed (Tyreek Hill), he dialed up creative plays that resulted in explosive gains. Worthy isn't comparable to Hill as an overall receiver, but defenses must respect his speed over the top.

Kansas City will miss cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, but Chris Jones, George Karlaftis, Charles Omenihu and Mike Danna could generate enough pocket pressure to help the secondary in coverage.

    2024 Prediction: 11-6

Las Vegas Raiders

17 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (18)

Raiders WR Davante AdamsEthan Miller/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 8-9

The Las Vegas Raiders finished the 2023 season on a high note, winning three of their last four games, but they still missed the playoffs. This offseason, they removed the interim label off of head coach Antonio Pierce's job title after they went 5-4 under his watch.

However, the Raiders didn't make a substantial upgrade at quarterback. They signed Gardner Minshew to a two-year, $25 million deal in free agency, but they struck out on the top options in the draft.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders might have drafted Michael Penix Jr. at No. 13 if the Atlanta Falcons didn't take him with the eighth pick. General manager Tom Telesco seemingly doesn't feel comfortable with 2023 fourth-rounder Aidan O'Connell as the unquestioned starter, which raises questions about the offense's ceiling.

New Raiders offensive coordinator Luke Getsy doesn't have a glowing resume. As the play-caller for the Chicago Bears in 2022 and 2023, his offenses didn't rank higher than 18th in total yards or scoring.

Las Vegas has a playoff-caliber roster with a top-10 scoring defense from last season, a solid wide receiver duo in All-Pro Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers and rookie tight end Brock Bowers. The No. 13 overall pick is the only two-time John Mackey Award winner, which gets awarded to the nation's top collegiate tight end.

However, Las Vegas has a big question mark at the most important position (quarterback), along with an offensive play-caller who's yet to develop a young signal-caller.

With a high-end quarterback or an established offensive coordinator, the Raiders might be a shoo-in for a playoff spot. But they don't have a needle-mover at either position right now.

    2024 Prediction: 8-9

Los Angeles Chargers

18 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (19)

Chargers QB Justin HerbertMaddie Meyer/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 5-12

Everywhere Jim Harbaugh goes, college or pro, he elevates his teams within a year or two.

In 2011, Harbaugh led the San Francisco 49ers to a 13-3 season after the team went 6-10 under Mike Singletary and interim head coach Jim Tomsula the previous year.

Harbaugh may turn a basem*nt-dwelling Los Angeles Chargers squad into a winning team in 2024, but perhaps not to the same extent as he did with the Niners 13 years ago. Even with star quarterback Justin Herbert under center, Los Angeles has a limited offense.

The Chargers traded Keenan Allen and cut Mike Williams, which left a major void in their wide receiver room. They took Ladd McConkey in the second round of the draft, but he didn't record more than 58 catches or 762 receiving yards in a single season at Georgia. Quentin Johnston, Joshua Palmer, DJ Chark and McConkey comprise an average receiver group at best.

Offensive coordinator Greg Roman's history of leaning heavily on the ground attack suggests that running backs Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins will be key contributors on offense anyway. Both ball-carriers played under Roman with the Baltimore Ravens.

The Chargers will likely play a physical style of football under Harbaugh. But in today's NFL, with the rules favoring high-powered offenses, Roman may need to show more creativity with his game plans through the air. Besides, Dobbins has missed 42 games and Edwards has missed 25 over the past three seasons because of injuries.

Los Angeles should crush bottom-tier squads, but it may struggle against teams with high-scoring offenses like the Ravens. Fortunately, the Chargers aren't slated to play against many top-10 offenses from last season.

    2024 Prediction: 9-8

Los Angeles Rams

19 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (20)

Rams QB Matthew StaffordKevin Sabitus/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 10-7

The Los Angeles Rams started last season 3-6, but they turned their fortunes around after a Week 10 bye with a younger team than they had in years past.

Following Aaron Donald's retirement this offseason, the Rams may depend on rookies Jared Verse and Braden Fiske to complement second-year pros Byron Young and Kobie Turner in the pass rush. Last season, the Rams ranked 19th and 20th in points and yards allowed, respectively, yet they still clinched the sixth seed in the NFC.

Thanks to a top-eight scoring offense from last season, the Rams should be in the playoff hunt again if quarterback Matthew Stafford stays healthy in 2024.

Cooper Kupp has battled injuries over the past two years, though the emergence of wideout Puka Nacua and running back Kyren Williams, along with the addition of rookie third-round tailback Blake Corum, should keep the offense humming against the stingiest defenses.

With that said, the NFC West will play the NFC North and AFC East, both of which sent two teams to the playoffs last year. The division-rival Arizona Cardinals should be more competitive this year, too.

The Rams defense may struggle early in the season under new defensive coordinator Chris Shula. But eventually, Young, Turner, Verse and Fiske should settle in to ease the burden on the offense.

    2024 Prediction: 9-8

Miami Dolphins

20 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (21)

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa Michael Owens/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 11-6

The Miami Dolphins checked off three boxes this offseason that should help their push for the AFC East title.

The Dolphins made sure to add potential starters and depth on the edge with pass-rushers Bradley Chubb (torn ACL) and Jaelan Phillips (torn Achilles) recovering from season-ending injuries. They signed Shaquil Barrett and selected Chop Robinson and Mohamed Kamara in the first round and fifth rounds of the draft, respectively.

After ranking 25th in passing touchdowns allowed last season, Miami made changes to its secondary, signing cornerback Kendall Fuller and safety Jordan Poyer.

Lastly, the Dolphins doubled down on their track-team offense, taking running back Jaylen Wright in the fourth round of the draft.

The Dolphins have electric wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on the perimeter with speedy ball-carriers De'Von Achane and Wright in the backfield. They also signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who averaged a career-high 16.1 yards per catch last season.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa doesn't need a big arm in this offense. He just has to get the ball in his dynamic playmakers' hands and let them do the rest.

Good luck to the defenders who try to stop Miami's offense. With a top-scoring unit and a decent defense, the Dolphins should be one of the AFC's best teams.

Minnesota Vikings

    2023 Record: 7-10

The Minnesota Vikings are a serviceable quarterback away from playoff contention.

Last year, the Vikings cycled through backup signal-callers to fill in for Kirk Cousins (torn Achilles) as their playoff hopes slipped away. This offseason, Minnesota lost Cousins to the Atlanta Falcons in free agency, signed quarterback Sam Darnold and moved up one spot in the first round of the 2024 draft for Michigan signal-caller J.J. McCarthy.

After the draft, general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said the team won't rush McCarthy's development, which is the right move. The two-year starter at Michigan posted modest passing numbers, so he may not be ready as a rookie to maximize all the offensive talent around him.

If Darnold starts, Minnesota will probably have to accept the inconsistency in his game. In 66 NFL appearances (including 56 starts), he's thrown for 63 touchdowns and 56 interceptions with a 59.7 percent completion rate.

Darnold may not be much better than Nick Mullens, who turned the ball over at an alarming rate last season. The Vikings' passing offense, which features All-Pro receiver Justin Jefferson, budding second-year wideout Jordan Addison and two-time Pro Bowl tight end T.J. Hockenson, may have a lower ceiling with Darnold or McCarthy.

McCarthy has the offensive personnel and play-caller in head coach Kevin O'Connell to become a Pro Bowl-caliber starter. But we may have to wait until his second year to see evidence of it.

    2024 Prediction: 8-9

New England Patriots

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (23)

    2023 Record: 4-13

Everyone will need time to get used to the New England Patriots without Bill Belichick, though no one knows what to expect from them.

The Patriots have a first-time head coach in Jerod Mayo, a first-time, full-time offensive play-caller in Alex Van Pelt and a rookie quarterback in Drake Maye. Though Mayo comes from Belichick's coaching tree, the Patriots are clearly in rebuild mode under new executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf.

Nonetheless, Wolf made a concerted effort this offseason to spark an uninspiring offense that scored the second-fewest points last year.

Maye's ability to make spectacular throws will bring excitement to the offense, but he'll work with a group of complementary and rookie wideouts. First-year wide receivers Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker may need time to showcase their explosive playmaking abilities.

The Patriots don't have have a go-to pass-catcher, though someone could emerge during training camp or early in the season. Until then, temper your expectations for Maye and expect New England to protect him with run-heavy game plans.

Under Belichick, the Patriots played well defensively. That may not change with his protege, Mayo, who's coached the team's linebackers for the past five years.

But with a rookie quarterback under center and no established pecking order among the pass-catchers, the Patriots may struggle to establish an offensive rhythm. That will likely result in plenty of losses.

New Orleans Saints

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (24)

    2023 Record: 9-8

The New Orleans Saints finished the 2023 season with a winning record under head coach Dennis Allen, but the offense didn't meet expectations. This offseason, they fired offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. and hired Klint Kubiak to replace him.

Kubiak has only one year of full-time play-calling experience on his resume. He must help the team establish an offensive identity, which may be a difficult task with an unsettled offensive line.

Left tackle Trevor Penning, a 2022 first-rounder, has struggled in a starting role. The Saints didn't re-sign Andrus Peat, who logged most of his snaps at left tackle last season. On top of that, right tackle Ryan Ramczyk doesn't have a timetable to return from a knee injury.

The Saints did add some insurance along the offensive line by selecting Taliese Fuaga with the No. 14 overall pick. He could start ahead of Penning at left tackle in Week 1.

Whether the Saints choose to go pass-heavy with quarterback Derek Carr or feed running backs Alvin Kamara, Jamaal Williams and Kendre Miller on the ground, they must shore up the edges of their front line for pass protection and effective outside zone runs.

Under Allen, New Orleans has fielded stout defenses. But because of an inconsistent offense, the club has hovered around .500 over the last two seasons.

We have to see it to believe that the Saints have a recipe for an offensive breakthrough in their post-Drew Brees era.

New York Giants

    2023 Record: 6-11

Despite all the chatter about the New York Giants' interest in the 2024 quarterback class, they passed on a few of the top prospects at the position. That means their offseason moves could benefit Daniel Jones.

The Giants signed offensive linemen Jermaine Eluemunor, Jon Runyan Jr. and Aaron Stinnie in free agency, and they selected wideout Malik Nabers with the No. 6 overall pick in the draft.

Big Blue needed to overhaul its offensive line after giving up a league-high 85 sacks last season. If tight end Darren Waller retires, Nabers may be the team's clear-cut No. 1 pass-catcher as soon as he steps on the field.

However, the Giants offense has a low ceiling with Jones under center. He hasn't thrown for more than 15 touchdowns in a season over the last three years.

Even with Nabers in the fold, New York may make a strong commitment to the run game because of Jones' limitations.

Big Blue will need to muddy up games with its defense. The club should have a strong front seven with Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Dexter Lawrence II pressuring the pocket, but one has to wonder how the Giants will score with any level of consistency.

    2024 Prediction: 4-13

New York Jets

25 of 32

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (26)

Jets QB Aaron RodgersAl Bello/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 7-10

Many expect the New York Jets offense to take off like a rocket once Aaron Rodgers returns to action. However, they should examine offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett's resume.

Hackett hasn't experienced much success apart from head coach Mike McCarthy during their three-year stretch (2019-2021) with the Green Bay Packers. During that period in Green Bay, McCarthy called the plays.

According to SNY's Connor Hughes, the Jets tried to hire another offensive coach to "run the show" over Hackett this offseason. The 40-year-old Rodgers, who tore his Achilles four snaps into last season, may not be able to cover up his play-calling shortcomings.

Rodgers may need more help than he's had in recent seasons. The Jets spent the offseason going all-in on bolstering his supporting cast.

Gang Green acquired right tackle Morgan Moses from the Baltimore Ravens and signed left tackle Tyron Smith, guard John Simpson and wideout Mike Williams in free agency. In the 2024 draft, they added tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu and wide receiver Malachi Corley in the first and third rounds, respectively.

Rodgers has layers of protection and plenty of playmakers to target in the passing game, but Hackett's track record could lower the ceiling of the Jets offense.

Gang Green's defense will keep most games within reach of a victory. Rodgers and his playmakers just need to execute—perhaps in spite of Hackett.

    2024 Prediction: 10-7

Philadelphia Eagles

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (27)

    2023 Record: 11-6

The Philadelphia Eagles completely fell apart at the end of the 2023 season. They dropped six of their last seven games, including a 32-9 Wild Card Round loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Eagles are poised to bounce back this season after hiring offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.

Moore has fielded a top-six scoring offense in three of his five years as an offensive coordinator. Those units featured top-nine passing and rushing offenses in total yards or touchdowns. Although Moore's Los Angeles Chargers offense sputtered with and without Justin Herbert last year, he'll work with a more talented offensive group in Philadelphia.

This offseason, the Eagles signed wideouts A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith to extensions. Dallas Goedert has developed into a solid pass-catching tight end. Even with some regression, quarterback Jalen Hurts is coming off another Pro Bowl year. Though center Jason Kelce retired, the Eagles may have a decent replacement in 2022 second-rounder Cam Jurgens.

Like the offensive side of the ball, the Eagles defense needed a better play-caller to optimize its talent. Philadelphia's defense significantly regressed after the team lost play-caller Jonathan Gannon, who took the Arizona Cardinals' head coaching job last offseason.

Fangio was the defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins over the past two years. His units ranked within the top 10 in total yards or scoring.

This year, Fangio will get the Eagles defense back on the right track with high-level rookies Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean and veteran defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson likely to play key roles in the secondary.

Pittsburgh Steelers

    2023 Record: 10-7

In 2024, the Pittsburgh Steelers offense may be able to pull its own weight and put pressure on opponents to keep pace on the scoreboard.

Pittsburgh turned over its entire quarterback room from last season, allowing Mason Rudolph and Mitchell Trubisky to walk in free agency and trading Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles. In their place, the Steelers signed Russell Wilson and acquired Justin Fields from the Chicago Bears.

Head coach Mike Tomlin has made it clear that Wilson is in line to start. The veteran threw for 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions with a 66.4 percent completion rate last year with the Denver Broncos.

With an established offensive coordinator in Arthur Smith, who helped Ryan Tannehill win 2019 Comeback Player of the Year, Wilson could have one of his best seasons since his 2021 Pro Bowl campaign with the Seattle Seahawks.

Pittsburgh traded wideout Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers, but George Pickens could have a breakout year. Meanwhile, rookie third-rounder Roman Wilson should have an opportunity to carve out a role as the No. 2 wide receiver.

Besides that, Smith has a track record of operating a run-heavy offense, and Pittsburgh has a quality running back duo in Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. The Steelers also selected offensive linemen Troy Fautanu and Zach Frazier with their first two picks in the 2024 draft, which suggests we could see a heavy dose of their ground attack.

If star defensive playmakers T.J. Watt, Cameron Heyward, and Minkah Fitzpatrick avoid injuries, the Steelers may field their most balanced squad in years.

San Francisco 49ers

    2023 Record: 12-5

The San Francisco 49ers won't play through the 2024 campaign with a Super Bowl hangover.

At least for now, the 49ers have kept their offensive core intact. Unless the Niners trade wideout Brandon Aiyuk, who wants a new contract, Brock Purdy should continue to exceed expectations as a high-level quarterback.

To reach its ceiling, San Francisco needs running back Christian McCaffrey to stay healthy. He hasn't missed a game because of injury since the team acquired him in October 2022.

Despite losing Arik Armstead in free agency, San Francisco still has a stacked defense as well.

The 49ers added edge-rusher Leonard Floyd, linebacker De'Vondre Campbell and defensive tackle Maliek Collins to help maintain their top-three scoring defense from last season. Rookie fourth-round safety Malik Mustapha could see early time on the field while Talanoa Hufanga recovers from a torn ACL.

Expect the Niners to claim their third consecutive division title with their minds on the Lombardi Trophy.

Seattle Seahawks

    2023 Record: 9-8

This offseason, the Seattle Seahawks made changes to their coaching staff. They moved Pete Carroll to the front office and replaced him with first-time head coach Mike Macdonald, who served as the Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator over the last two years.

In both 2022 and 2023, Macdonald fielded a top-three scoring defense. In Seattle, he'll work with a talented unit that includes rookie first-rounder Byron Murphy II, Leonard Williams and 2023 first-rounder Devon Witherspoon.

Though Macdonald may be able to strengthen the Seahawks' bottom-eight defense from the last season, Seattle has question marks on the other side of the ball.

New offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, who served in the same role at the University of Washington over the past two seasons, doesn't have NFL play-calling experience. Can Grubb design an offense that elevates quarterback Geno Smith and his playmakers?

Smith earned his second Pro Bowl nod last year, but his touchdown rate and passing yards per game dropped off from the 2022 campaign. At times, wide receiver DK Metcalf let his frustrations with the offense boil over on the field.

The Seahawks' decision to reboot the coaching staff may lead to growing pains on offense and close losses early in the season before Smith and Co. find their groove.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (31)

Buccaneers QB Baker MayfieldJustin Casterline/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 9-8

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed quarterback Baker Mayfield and wide receiver Mike Evans to extensions this offseason, which will help their offensive continuity. However, they lost offensive coordinator Dave Canales, who left to become the Carolina Panthers' new head coach.

The Bucs hired Liam Coen to replace Canales. As an offensive coordinator, Coen has bounced back and forth between college and the pros since 2021.

Coen didn't call plays under Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay in 2022, but he has several years of NFL coaching experience. Coen must figure out how to balance the Buccaneers offense.

Though Mayfield had one of his most productive seasons under Canales, the Buccaneers had the NFL's worst ground game last year.

On the other side of the ball, Tampa Bay ranked 29th in pass defense. After the team traded cornerback Carlton Davis to the Detroit Lions this offseason, Zyon McCollum will likely have to prove himself in a full-time starting role.

In 2023, the Buccaneers won five of their last six regular-season games to sneak into the playoffs. However, four of those victories were against non-playoff teams, including two over the Carolina Panthers.

With an imbalance on offense and a glaring issue in pass coverage, the Buccaneers may not be able to string together a late-season streak like they did last year.

Tennessee Titans

Win-Loss Predictions For Every NFL Team After 2024 Schedule Release (32)

Titans QB Will LevisWesley Hitt/Getty Images

    2023 Record: 6-11

The Tennessee Titans took an aggressive approach this offseason, which suggests they're all in on a playoff push and quarterback Will Levis. After they fired head Mike Vrabel and hired Brian Callahan to replace him, they made win-now roster moves.

The Titans signed wideout Calvin Ridley to a four-year, $92 million deal, inked running back Tony Pollard to a three-year, $21.8 million contract, added center Lloyd Cushenberry III on a four-year, $50 million deal and acquired cornerback L'Jarius Sneed from the Kansas City Chiefs and then signed him to a four-year, $76.4 million extension.

In addition to the Titans' veteran additions, they selected offensive tackle JC Latham with the seventh pick in the 2024 draft.

Tennessee seemingly doesn't want to slowly rebuild. If Levis thrives under the new regime, the Titans could be a surprise contender.

As a rookie last year, Levis showed flashes in his first start, but he mostly struggled after that outing. He also battled ankle and foot injuries late in the season.

Typically, an incoming coaching staff needs weeks before its program starts to show positive results. The Titans, with an inexperienced quarterback and a first-time head coach, will likely go through rough stretches in a conference with several top-tier signal-callers.

Washington Commanders

Commanders QB Jayden DanielsCraig Hudson for The Washington Post via Getty Images

    2023 Record: 4-13

The Washington Commanders should take a step in the right direction under a new regime with a revamped roster.

The Commanders hired head coach Dan Quinn, who led the Atlanta Falcons to consecutive playoff appearances with double-digit wins in 2016 and 2017.

This offseason, multiple players followed Quinn to Washington from the Dallas Cowboys, including center Tyler Biadasz, defensive end Dorance Armstrong and edge-rusher Dante Fowler Jr. Quinn will also reunite with linebacker Bobby Wagner, who played under him in Seattle.

Though Quinn won't call defensive plays, the players' familiarity with him should expedite the buy-in process within the locker room.

The Commanders also selected quarterback Jayden Daniels with the No. 2 pick in the draft. The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner could vie for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award with the playmakers around him.

Daniels can target wideouts Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson and rookie third-rounder Luke McCaffrey and savvy pass-catching tight end Zach Ertz on the perimeter or running back Austin Ekeler as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. With his rushing ability, Daniels can also mask pass-protection issues along the Commanders' unsettled offensive line.

The Commanders likely won't finish this season with a winning record, but they should show some promise with Daniels under center and a reinvigorated defense.
