In honor of Pride Month, we here on Good Morning Reno have themed this month's Movie Club to reflect that. We ran a tease for the Movie Club segment in the block beforehand, and my producers asked me to make a 4-box of the four movies we are going to be viewing. I'd done these before, so nothing terribly out of the ordinary, but I did find a way to make the borders dividing the movies oscillate between the colors of the rainbow (I actually figured out two different ways, only realizing the much simpler and more effective one in hindsight).

A brief snippet of footage I shot of a brushfire early this morning between the Union Pacific right-of-way and the Eastbound I-80 off ramp at Rock Boulevard. As of posting, I don't believe an official cause has been determined. Crews were on scene not long after I left and had the fire out almost immediately.

Back to making news compilations for the station. Sparks Fire & Rescue responded to an abandoned home aflame in the 3000 Block of Wedekind Road early on the morning of April 25, 2024.

Tried something a little different. Amtrak was sending through a matched pair of P42DC locomotives on this morning's Westbound California Zephyr, so I went out to grab it. I ended up taking an actual camera with me in addition to my cell phone, so I filmed the train coming around the curve at Mogul with both devices, fading in the camera footage over the phone footage. All audio is from the cell phone, zoomed in footage is from the cell phone, and zoomed out footage is from my camera.

Worked my first game running graphics in the broadcast booth for the Reno Aces today. I had a blast. Looking forward to spending more of this season with such an awesome team.

Threw a little something together earlier today just to test my editing skills. The picture is of the Yu-Gi-Oh card "D/D/D Doom King Armageddon" (its Japanese name at the top translates to "D/D/D Death Great King Hell Armageddon"), while the bottom says "The transcendent god who rules above all kings". Yes, I'm aware I'm a nerd.
